Gourmantic Living

Gourmantic WorldLiving the Gourmantic Life usually means ticking a few items off the wish list after a trip abroad peppered with culinary experiences. Yet after each holiday, the list of  places we would like to visit and the restaurants where we would like to dine  grows slightly more; a delicious catch-22 if ever there was one.

In keeping with the Gourmantic theme, the list is divided into Travel and Food categories. Items in bold are those that we have already achieved. Some of the hyperlinks take you to our reviews.

What a fun list! I wrote a list recently myself on the 25 food & travel destinations to visit in the next 5 years. I love lists…

  5. Just came from Istanbul and Cappadocia. I would say a must in Cappadocia is to see it from a hot air balloon. Great experience!

    • That would be awesome! Though I’m scared of heights, especially being in the open… but the photos would be magnificent!

  6. Just read your list – should keep you busy for a while! :) Cappadocia and Istanbul are amazing (but then we’re biased). Aya Sofya is just fabulous. We’ve not done much fine dining but we did treat ourselves to Rick Stein’s restaurant in Padstow a few years ago. The best seafood meal we’ve ever eaten!
Do you think you’ll achieve number 30 on your travel list?

    • I hope I get to tick off this list, the only problem, I keep adding to it :)
Rick Stein’s restaurant would be an unforgettable experience. I met him in Sydney a few years ago and he is quite an enchanting man.

As for no 30, if Richard Branson gets to realise it, it’s a possibility. But I think affordability becomes the issue…
