The Sydney Opera House was cloaked in green to mark 200 years of St Patrick’s Day celebrations in Australia. The iconic landmark put on a green evening dress tonight from 7.30 pm reminiscent of the Vivid Sydney light display.
Revellers in their green attire flocked to Irish pubs to celebrate over a few pints. With almost two million Australians with Irish heritage, it was no surprise to see long queues at the pubs down at the Sydney Rocks. With Guinness as the ale of choice on this Wednesday March 17, everyone can be Irish even just for one day.
Green and Guinness… to be sure to be sure.
Happy St Paddy’s Day!
Oh man, that is gorgeous! I would love to see it decked out so festively one year 🙂 Happy St Paddy’s Day!
Shannon: Isn’t it ever! We travel around the world taking in the best sights then we get awestruck at home with moments like these!
Happy St Paddy’s Day to you! Hope you’re celebrating in style 🙂
