Taste of Manly 2011: Food, Wine, Sustainability and The Pantry Cooking Demo with Stefano Bignotti
Every June, the beachside suburb of Manly plays host to the Taste of Manly Food, Wine and Sustainability festival. The community-based event runs on the first weekend in June and attracts a large crowd spilling onto the beach.
The lively festival is a chance to enjoy wines from various exhibitors and taste food from the stalls representing local businesses. Wines were available by the glass for an initial $15 which includes a commemorative glass, with generous top ups at $5 each. Live entertainment engaged people of all ages and there were live cooking demonstrations with tastings to indulge the foodies.
