The Whisky Show: Coming to Sydney in July

The inaugural Whisky Show will be held at the Tattersalls Club in Sydney in July 2012. Presented by World of Whisky of Double Bay, the show will offer over 150 different whiskies across 20 stands on taste, including whiskies from Australia, Japan, USA and Scotland.

The list of exhibitors includes Ardbeg, the Balvenie, Chivas Regal, Elements of Islay, Glenmorangie, Grant’s, Jack Daniels, Jim Beam, Johnnie Walker, Laphroaig, Lark Distillery, The Macallan, Highland Park, Makers Mark, the Singleton, Woodford Reserve , Yamazaki only to name a few, with many offering various expressions.

Speaking at the media launch of the Whisky Show, David Ligoff of World of Whisky presented  highlights of the show such as the Glenmorangie Whisky Cocktail Competition which will be judged by Dan Woolley (World of Whisky Ambassador), Garth Foster (Moet-Hennessey Brand Ambassador) and Sacha Delfosse (Bars and Clubs Magazine).

All the whiskies at the show will be available to buy at special prices. Those who purchase a Tasmanian Whisky will go into the draw to win a 3-day whisky tour of Tasmania.

Other highlights will include a Whisky and Cheese Masterclass and The Australasian Whisky Awards headed by industry judges and experts.

The Whisky Show runs on Friday 20 July 2012 from 4.00pm to 8.00pm, and Saturday 21 July 2012 from 2.00pm to 6.00pm. Tickets are $50.00 if booked online and $60.00 when purchased at the door. A “Designated Driver” ticket is available for $20.00. All prices are per person per day.
