A sea of white descended upon Bondi Beach for the second Dîner en Blanc held in Sydney.
The iconic location was ablaze in white for what was the ultimate beach party with 3000 guests in attendance, the first time the international event was held on a beach.
White buses transported guests from various pick up points such as the steps at St Andrew’s Cathedral in Sydney, heading east then looping around and teasing with locations such as Centennial Park, the Sydney Cricket Ground, Randwick Racecourse before heading down the scenic route along Bondi Road. Once the bus turned the corner down the hill, the mystery location was revealed.

On the sand, as the late afternoon sun bathed the beach in a golden light, Piper Heidsieck champagne flowed as well wines by Treasury Wine Estates. Guests had the choice of bringing their own own food or pre-purchasing hampers by Kitchen Food Company. Taking the lead from the DJ, the customary waving of the serviettes signifed the start of the event at 7.15 pm.
At the media table, The Dîner en Blanc Platinum Spring Menu offered delicious food such as Smoked Gazpacho with Butter Yabbies and Basil Jelly, White Asparagus with Jamon Iberico and Truffle Pecorino and Roasted Eye Fillet of Beef with Pearl Barley and Wild Mushrooms. Dessert was a delectable White Chocolate ad Vanilla Bean Panna Cotta with Champagne Strawberries, finishing with a Cheese Board, Glazed Chipoline onions and Lavosh.
In a surreal moment, the lighting of the sparklers took place at 9pm, with 3000 guests waving pin points of light over the beach. Dancing, drinking and fun along the beach continued until 10 pm before guests who had purchased tickets continued onto the After Party at Bondi Pavilion, sponsored by CIROC Vodka.
