Maple + Clove is a casual eatery and meeting place for breakfast, coffee and lunch. With a leafy outlook and tables in the sun, this is a relaxing spot to enjoy wholesome food.

The cafe is located in Canberra’s Barton district in the Realm Precinct which houses the Burbury Apartments and Hotel and LiloTang Japanese restaurant.

Maple + Clove prepare and cook the meals daily using wholefoods that are fresh, local and seasonal. Wholefoods are those that are as close as possible to their natural state with which means no preservatives, artificial colours, flavouring and sweeteners are used.

Tables outside allow patrons to enjoy the sunshine while the interior is spacious and light with individual and communal tables.

Open Kitchen

Breakfast provides a range of savoury options with a number of vegetarian dishes, breads from the bakery and naturally sweetened dishes such as Organic Bircher Muesli or Buckwheat Pancakes.

At lunch, choose from tartines – French style open faced sandwich, burgers or try a salad such as kale and beet or seared salmon. There is also the market fish of the day or lamb rump frisee.

The Kick Start Juice does as its name describes. It’s made fresh with lemon, apple, ginger, water and cayenne pepper to get the day powering along.

Smoked Salmon Tartine

The Smoked Salmon Tartine ($18) is a generous serve of fish on top of raw zucchini ribbons, shallots, rocket, back pepper and lemon and cream cheese.

Sirloin Steak Sandwich

The Sirloin Steak Sandwich ($18) comes in a black olive and rye foccaccia with mesclun salad, caramelised onions, roasted capsicum, tomato relish and a side of sweet potato fries. The steak is juicy and tender and packs a lot of flavour.

Maple + Clove is open for breakfast (all day breakfast on the weekend) and lunch and offers a range of freshly made take home dinners.
