Located in Kiaora Lane next to About Life, the venue has a minimalist fitout with white lines and raw timber and seats 80 patrons inside and outside.

Little Jean transitions from a casual daytime eatery serving breakfast and lunch daily, to a bistro dinner menu Wednesdays through Saturdays. Head Chef Emile Avramides along with Christopher Stockdale bring seasonal fare with a focus on sustainable produce to a menu centred around shared plates.

At the launch event attended by locals and media, a selection of canapes were served that is representative of the menu. These include a Demi tasse of vichyssoise with black truffle, Seared Yellowfin tuna ‘lollipop’ with soy, yuzu and togarashi, Prawn and scallop ravioli in a ‘Bouillabaise’ sauce and Mini pasture fed eye fillet of beef, crisped risotto, ion jam and aioli.

Little Jean is a welcome addition to Double Bay’s burgeoning dining scene.

Little Jean opened to the public on Wednesday 18 March, 2015.
