New bar and restaurant, The Public is set to open in Cammeray next week from the owners of The Laneway and Ms Miller on the lower north shore.

The venue is located at the site of Belgian Beer Cafe and has been remodelled with a Scandinavian fitout, with ply wood and light materials. A casual bar area with booth seating and bi-fold windows opens the front bar. Ten beers on tap will feature including Young Henry’s, Two Birds, Rocks Brewing, Endeavour and Mountain Goat, with Monteith’s Cider and Carlton Draught and Peroni.
Chef James Featherstone, ex British Masterchef Professionals series will head the kitchen. His menu will be based on classic pub food, burgers with a Mediterranean food influence.
