Barbers Cut Winter Blend Gin

The Barber Shop in Sydney has released their own gin, Barbers Cut Winter Blend Gin for World Gin Day 2015.

The limited edition gin was made by Archie Rose Distillery using their Signature Dry Gin as a base. The Barber Shop team then created their own blend by increasing some of the botanicals to produce a winter style gin that is good enough to sip on its own.

The gin starts with a burst of juniper and coriander on the nose and the palate then mellows with spice notes mainly cinnamon from the cassia bark and pepper from the Dorrigo pepper leaf. At 42.7% ABV, it is very smooth on the palate and lingers in a long, warming finish.

The Barbers Cut Winter Blend Gin performs very well in a gin and tonic and equally well in a Martini – a most delicious gin with well balanced botanicals on the palate.

Although this was a limited release for World Gin Day, the Barber Shop team are planning another custom gin in the near future so stay tuned for updates.
