J&M Whisky Bar, Sydney

Sydney has a new whisky bar, J&M, an intimate bar located on Level 2 of the Angel Hotel in the CBD.

The latest in the Merivale expansion, the bar is a tribute to the late, Mr. John, Merivale Hemmes and their House of Merivale which was once located at the site of the historic hotel.

J&M launches as a Chivas Regal showcase with a focus on the flavour notes of Chivas 18 to create a unique, sensory whisky experience in Sydney’s CBD.

Honouring its roots in fashion history, J&M features bespoke haberdashery cabinets filled with the ingredients that make up the rich, multi-layered aromas of Chivas 18, think dried fruits, buttery toffee and dark chocolate. You’ll find luxurious chesterfield sofas, a long glass bar, and s specially imported drinks trolley named ‘The Sidecar’, a unique collaboration between Moore & Giles and Jim Meehan of PDT.

Sit by the bar or enjoy the personal trolley service and taste some exclusive whiskies not available for purchase anywhere else in Australia as well as Chivas Regal cocktails.

J&M opens 11 November 2015.
