Best New Sydney Restaurants & Bars: December 2015

Welcome to our final round up for 2015, the December listing of new and upcoming Sydney restaurants and bars.

Lot 1, Sydney

Jangling Jack’s, a new neighbourhood bar by ex Mojo Bar owner, Jon Ruttan is set to open in December at 175 Victoria Street, Potts Point. Review of Jangling Jack’s here.

The team behind Neighbourhood in Bondi, Raven’s Eye and Henrietta Supper Club have openeda new pub, the New Britannia Hotel along Cleveland Street. 103 Cleveland St, Chippendale

Kittyhawk, a new cocktail bar from the Lobo Plantation crew is due to open in early 2016 at the former site of Bondys and the Bull and Bear. Aurora Place, 16 Phillip Lane, Sydney

Lot 1 Sydney is due to open its restaurant in late December (check out our preview of Lot 1 Sydney) followed by a vodka-based bar early in 2016. 18 – 20 York Street, Sydney

The Old Clare Hotel has opened its rooftop pool and bar. You don’t need to be a hotel guest to visit The Old Clare Rooftop Pool and Bar. To match the poolside vibe, expect cocktails on tap and frozen daiquiris. 1 Kensington Street, Chippendale

Paul Fraser and George McLean, the duo behind JB & Sons in Freshwater (previously Hemingway’s at Manly) are due to open Butter Cup Dee Why, a new cafe, bar and restaurant later this month. The beachside venue will be open 7 days for breakfast, lunch and dinner. 154-158 Pacific Parade, Dee Why.

Sydney CBD will soon have a nordic experience when Norsk Dor, a new venture from the team behind Uncle Ming’s opens early 2016. The underground Scandinavian inspired drinking and dining inn will be located at 70 Pitt Street, Sydney

After the spectacular opening in Chatswood, Tim Ho Wan has opened in Westfield Burwood. Keep an eye out for a Tim Ho Wan takeaway outlet in Westfield Sydney due to open late December. Corner of Burwood Road and Wilga Street, Westfield Burwood

Their instagram photos have teased for a while. Now Busby Bar in Woolloomooloo has opened beneath Riley St Garage. and will operate as a bar on Friday and Saturday nights. 55 Riley Street, Woolloomooloo

Keep an eye out for Uno Mas, a new venture from the team behind Shirt Bar, offering breakfast, brunch and a wine bar in Sydney’s CBD. 115 Clarence St Sydney

A little further afield, The Bolt Hole in Byron Bay is a newly-opened eco-friendly bar serving beer in cans, whisky, cocktails and slow cooked BBQ. 9 Fletcher St, Byron Bay
