The Monkey Shoulder whisky pop-up bar has opened in Sydney’s Martin Place in celebration of Chinese / Lunar New Year.
Cocktails include the Monkey Mojito, Old-fashioned Monkey, Ginger Monkey and Jungle Juice, a take on the Pina Colada, or simply sip it neat or on ice as you toast Chinese New Year. A free fortune cookie is given with every drink and you can choose from vanilla, orange, cinnamon and caramel – flavour profiles that make up Monkey Shoulder whisky. Drinks cost between $8 and $12 and all proceeds will be donated to the Taronga Foundation.
You also have a chance to win a $1000 bar tab or 1 of 2 whisky cocktail kits by uploading a photo from the bar to Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #monkeyshouder.
The Monkey Shoulder Whisky Bar is open in Martin Place until 14 February. It will then relocate to World Square from 15-21 February, 2016.
