The Dolphin Re-Opens in Surry Hills

The Dolphin in Surry Hills has re-opened with a transformation of its Public Bar as well as the Dining Room with the Wine Room to follow.

The drinks menu at the Public Bar includes a range of premium house pour spirits mixed with bottled Australian mixers and fresh fruit. When it comes to beer, The Dolphin is the first Australian venue outside of Tasmania to serve James Boags XXX Ale and is bringing back “The Pony”, a 140ml glass so you can sample a range of other brews.

Bar food by Executive Chef Monty Koludrovic is focussed on provenance-driven modern Italo-Australian food which includes steak and chicken, spaghetti and pizza.

The Dining Room continues the modern Italo-Australian food focus with local produce including Whole Market Fish, Sorrel & Herb Butter, Cottaleta Limone, Gnocchi with Braised Lamb Neck, Spinach & Green Olive or the Twice Cooked Free Range Chicken Cacciatore by the 1/2 or whole with desserts by pastry chef Jaclyn Koludrovic such as Woodfired Lemon Pudding and Zokoko Chocolate Tiramisu.

The Dining Room’s drinks menu offers pre-batched cocktails such as classic No. 8 has made is way from the Icebergs, Negroni’s are presented in different ways and a series of other numbered cocktails [no.103, 206, 333, 363, 412, 587]. Producer focused wines are available by the glass with the list keeping in harmony with the kitchen.

The Dolphin opening hours are as follows: Dining Room: Wednesday to Sunday evenings from 5pm; Public Bar: 7 days from 10am to Midnight Mon – Sat and 10am – 10pm Sunday; Wine Room: Coming Soon.
