“A night of slow-smoked, Texas-style beef brisket, pulled pork and a rotating selection of meats including beef sausage, pork ribs and chicken wings”. You can almost smell it.
Dan the Man who learnt his craft under Brooklyn pitmaster Nestor Laracuente is lighting up the smoker to bring a Texas-style barbecue to Sydney.
On the first Friday of every month starting on Friday 5 August at 6pm, head down to The Field at Eastern Suburbs Rugby Club for a night dubbed ‘Up in Smoke’ and enjoy succulent meats come out of the smoker, carved on the spot and served American-style on trays with classic barbecue sides of mac and cheese, coleslaw, dirty white bread, pickles and jalapenos.
Tickets cost $35 ticket and you get your own tray of brisket, pulled pork plus a monthly rotating meat and a selection of sides.
Up in Smoke Texas Style BBQ runs on the first Friday of every month – 5 Aug, 2 Sept, 7 Oct, 4 Nov, 2 Dec at The Field @ Eastern Suburbs Rugby Club, O’Sullivan Road, Bellevue Hill. Tickets: $35 + booking fee can be purchased here.
