Located along Union Street in Pyrmont, the upbeat eatery and bar is the brainchild of Anthony Prior, formerly of The Keystone Group. The cocktail list is designed with sections that complement the dining experience with an Intro, Bridge, Chorus and Outro. You’ll also find a good selection of craft and classic beer, a solid wine list with all options available by the glass.

The food is shared style dining with a focus on fine poultry, be it small plates, bar snacks or larger offerings. Think signature rotisserie spit roast birds, buttermilk fried chicken paired with one of two sauces; chilli & honey caramel or house made Whirlybird smoky BBQ. Vegetarian and vegan diners need not shy away. Dishes such as ‘salt ‘n’ pepper silken tofu’ with spring onions, ginger and ponzu are set to please.

Whirly Bird is open from Sunday to Wednesday 12pm-12am and Thursday to Saturday from 12pm – 1am.
