The Balvenie Hammer Dinner with Sam Bloomfield and Ross Blainey

Drink from Thor’s hammer and feast like a Viking at The Balvenie Hammer Dinner with Sam Bloomfield and Ross Blainey at Mjolner.

The Balvenie Hammer Dinner

At Mjolner in Redfern, the plaque on Thor’s hammer states “whosoever drinks from this hammer, if they be worthy shall possess the power of Thor”. Now you have the chance to pour your own whisky from the hammer forged by master armourer Sam Bloomfield before sitting down with Sam himself to a masterclass of The Balvenie whisky range hosted by Ross Blainey, The Balvenie Brand Ambassador. And if you’re worthy, you might end up walking out a Norse God.

Ross Blainey will be presenting a masterclass on three Balvenie from the range before a full Viking feast followed by another masterclass on three very rare and old whiskies from the Balvenie. The final three whiskies will include The Balvenie 30, the newly released Tun 1509 batch 4 and a very special cask sample from Ross’ private collection filled from a barrel in warehouse 24 by Ross during his visit to the distillery.
