Gin The Show Is Coming to Sydney in April

Gin The Show, Sydney’s first consumer show dedicated to gin, only gin and nothing but gin will makes its debut in April.

GIN The Show

Gin! The Show by Alchemist Events

Gin! The Show is presented by Alchemist Events which is managed by David Ligoff, the co-founder of World of Whisky, and the organiser of the highly successful The Whisky Show, held in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland. David has been organising events for over 30 years, including 11 Whisky Shows over the past seven years. He also has brought his wealth of knowledge and experience to the world of gin.

The event will be taking place on Saturday 7 April 2018 at the Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport, at the same location as The Whisky Show. It will run over two 3-hour sessions, from noon until 3pm, then from 4pm until 7pm. The venue is a short walk from Mascot train station, and the Organisers are providing a free shuttle bus from Mascot Station to the Stamford and back.

What to Expect

During the three hour sessions, visitors will have the opportunity to sample around 100 different types of gin at over 25 stands, learn about the juniper spirit, its accompaniments and gin cocktails, and purchase bottles of gin at special show prices. It’s a great opportunity for newcomers to gin as well as gin aficionados to learn about differences in flavour profiles and discover new favourites.

Each visitor will receive a showbag at registration with a tasting glass, a bottle of water and a souvenir programme. A complimentary bottle of FeverTree Mediterranean tonic will also be provided to each person – FeverTree is the official tonic of Gin! The Show. A range of food will be available for purchase in the registration area.

Aside from sampling the variety of gins, four different gin cocktails, created by Ben Davidson and the team at Uber Bar Tools, will be sold for $10 each in the AV8 Bar. Choose from a Tom Collins, a Dry Martini, a Negroni or a New Orleans Fizz.

The following exhibitors have been confirmed: Animus, Antipodes, Apothecary, Applewood, Arbikie, Archie Rose, Atelier du Bouilleur, Aviation, Bloom Gin, Broken Spectre, Christian Drouin Gin, Cotswold, Dasher & Fisher, Distillery Botanica, Dodd’s, Fair, Fishers, Fords, Four Pillars, Garden Tiger, Generous Gin, Giniversity, Glendalough, Hartshorn Distillery, Hayman’s London Dry, Hendricks, Kew Organic, Knocklofty, Le Gin 1&9, Manly Distillery, Melbourne Gin Company, Mt Uncle Distillery, Musgrave, Never Never, Opihr Oriental Spiced, Pickerings, Poor Toms, Portobello Road, Prohibition Liquor Co., Reid Brothers Distilling Co., Rogue Society, Sacred Spring, Sylvius, Wenneker and Whitley Neill.
