Tacos N Tequila Festival is on for Cinco de Mayo

Tacos N Tequila, a Cinco de Mayo weekend street fiesta is coming to Sydney next month.

Tacos N Tequila

More than just a street festival, Tacos N Tequila, the inaugural Cinco de Mayo street fiesta will be held in The Rocks’ Dawes Point Park, at the grassy area located underneath the Harbour Bridge. Running over the weekend of May 4-5 2019, the festival will showcase an array of authentic Mexican street food and beverage.

Some of Sydney’s best Mexican restaurants have come on board to celebrate the Mexican holiday weekend tradition. The food offering was carefully curated to highlight different regions and styles of Mexican food. Each of the vendors will showcase their favourites as well as create one item exclusively for the event.

Mexican deli Rosa Cienfuegos will be serving up her authentic Al Pastor tacos and tamales, SoCal Neutral Bay, plant based Bad Hombres (Sunday only), Panama House,  Chula and Tex Mex by Chefin will showcase their specialties. To finish, Messina will offer a special Mexican inspired dessert.

In addition to the food stalls, Tacos N Tequila will showcase elements of Mexican culture including live street art installations by Skullavera, Taco eating competitions, Tequila masterclasses, Latin American bands and Lucha Libre wrestling.
