Merivale has launched The Bottle Shop, an online experience enabling guests to purchase an exclusive range of wine, beer and spirits specially handpicked by the group’s Master Sommeliers.
The Bottle Shop is an extension of the wine retail experience on Palings and aims to offer an entirely new online wine experience that is approachable, fun and interactive, taking the ‘stuffiness’ out of wine selection.
Wine-lovers can make their selection based on occasion: ‘Party starters’ include champagne, sparkling and fun wines to start the night right; ‘Point Scorers’ feature bottles to seriously impress; ‘Dinner at Yours’ are dinner party wines, ‘Weeknight Wine’ is a selection of affordable wines that go perfectly with takeaway and TV, and ‘Picnic Wine’ offers light and refreshing wines best served with friends and food outdoors.
In addition, there are options for fans of organic and natural wines, or those who prefer whisky, gin, rum and beer.
The Bottle Shop also offers a subscription bundle of monthly drops, with a selection of wines dropped straight to your door on the first day of each month. Customers can choose between the ‘Savour’ – great picks that won’t break the bank (from $60), ‘Seduce’ – for those who are on the hunt for something a little special (from $80), and ‘Splurge’ – the very best of the bunch (from $110). The packs come in a range of sizes, petite (3), medium (6), and grand (12) and wine lovers can choose red, white or mixed. The packs can also be purchased as one-offs or for gifts.
Merivale’s Master Sommeliers Franck Moreau MS and Adrian Filiuta MS are responsible for curating the range, working closely with the group’s sommelier team to ensure a diverse selection of quality wines that are easily accessible and suit many different palates.
