Gourmantic is the magazine-style website and photographic journal of a gourmande with a strong penchant for packing a laptop, a digital SLR camera and its complement of lenses, a large suitcase and roaming the globe in search of gastronomic adventures. From rustic regional food to haute cuisine of Michelin star chefs, she revels in the discovery of culinary delights.

Dedicated to the romance of travel, the enjoyment of food, Gourmantic takes you on a global voyage, combining travel tales with culinary pleasures, peppered with photo journeys, a dash of musical delights with an international flavour and the odd opinionated piece.

About the Author

For as long as she could hold a pen, Ms Gourmantic has been an avid scribe feeding her passion for writing with an overactive imagination. Her repertoire includes works of fiction, short stories, travelogues as well as authoring blogs and photoblogs. She is currently writing a novel.

With creative flair, both inside and outside the kitchen, she has a reputation among friends for being a secretive cook when entertaining them at home. She respects authenticity in food, and loves most things French.

She lives in Sydney, Australia with her partner in culinary decadence, Mr G, who is solely responsible for introducing her to the hedonistic delights of alcohol as accompaniment to food. Mr G is a seasoned traveller and a bon vivant, an avid collector of music and a connoisseur of fine wines, though too modest to admit it at times.

About our Recommendations

Gourmantic draws upon our combined travel experiences and culinary journeys which feed our inspiration. With the exception of guest posts, we have visited and dined at all the establishments we review in our articles.

Our content is inspired by experiences we like to share and whatever the nature of our reviews, they remain our honest opinion. We do not believe in giving publicity to places we don’t like therefore we will not write about them. We pay for our own way and if at some point in the future we are offered free products, services or discounts on anything we review, these will be disclosed in the article.
