About Gourmantic

Established in 2009, Gourmantic is an online magazine with a focus on restaurants and bars, alcoholic beverages, food and travel. The website has a solid Australian and international readership and appeals to discerning diners and social drinkers, independent travellers, consumers and industry professionals who are interested in quality articles, experience-based reviews and independent recommendations.

Gourmantic was founded by Corinne Mossati, Founder/Editor and Principal Writer and Kevin Burke, Co-Founder, Photographer and Contributor. Here’s a snapshot of Gourmantic in its first 10 years.

Corinne Mossati is a drinks writer, author and founder/editor of Gourmantic, Cocktails & Bars and The Gourmantic Garden. She has been writing extensively about spirits, cocktails, bars and the craft spirit distilling scene in Australia for 15 years and cocktail gardening in more recent years. She is a spirits and cocktail competition judge, Icons of Whisky Australia nominee, contributor to Diageo Bar Academy, cocktail developer and is named in Australian Bartender Magazine’s Top 100 Most Influential List. Her cocktail garden was featured on ABC TV’s Gardening Australia and has won several awards. She is a contributor to Real World Gardener radio program and is featured in several publications including Pip Magazine, Organic Gardener, Australian Bartender and Breathe (UK). Corinne Mossati:

Corinne Mossati has been writing about the food scene, bars, spirits for over 10 years. After she founded Gourmantic in 2009, she launched Cocktails & Bars in 2015, a website dedicated to cocktail culture. She has been named Australian Bartender Magazine’s Top 100 Most Influential List since 2013, has judged over 30 cocktail competitions, and is published in several media including Executive Style by Fairfax. She has created the Gourmantic Birthday Gin 2017 in collaboration with Head Distiller Reg Papps.

In May 2021, she was featured in a segment on ABC’s Gardening Australia TV Show with Host Costa Georgiades entitled Botanical Beverages.
