Party Like It’s 1785 with Secret Foodies

The champagne was chilled. Wigs were worn and vintage fans held by elegant hands for the party to end all Secret Foodies parties… for 2013.

The much-anticipated “Party Like It’s 1785” was revealed to be at Claire’s Kitchen at Le Salon in Darlinghurst, an apt setting for the French-themed soirée. Piper-Heidsieck champagne flowed all night and tantaslising canapés were plentiful served by bleu-blanc-rouge bow-tied waitstaff with a side serve of a delicious French accent. Ms Darlinghurst popped the cork on a champagne tower and “Marie-Antoinette” put on a towering performance before the croquembouche was cut to the cheers of “let them eat cake!”
