Mumm Champagne: La Folie Douce & Thredbo Top2Bottom

Mumm Champagne & Thredbo Top2Bottom Weekend

Last weekend, GH Mumm champagne brought an unforgettable experience to the slopes of Thredbo during the 25th Annual Top2Bottom race weekend. A host of activities on and off the slopes were held including apres-ski with La Folie Douce, pop up champagne bars and Mumm Champagne and caviar masterclasses.

Mumm Champagne Brunch & Yasa Caviar

Media and VIP guests were treated to a surreal brunch experience set at high-altitude on the mountain inside an igloo. The leisurely brunch was hosted by Citi Chef of the Year Josue Lopez and Mumm champagne ambassador Chris Sheehy.

Five inventive courses and a delightful canape were paired with a selection of Mumm Champagne including the rare Blanc de Blancs and Cuvee R Lalou 2002.

Thredbo visitors were also able to take part by attending Mumm champagne and Yasa Caviar masterclasses and dinner at Segreto Restaurant located at Thredbo Alpine Hotel.

Mumm Champagne Sabrage & Skibrage

It wouldn’t be a champagne and ski experience without sabrage or in this case, skibrage where guests were invited to take part under the tutelage of Mumm champagne ambassador Chris Sheehy. Never forgetting the little touches, everyone who participated was awarded a Sabrage Certificate with the neck of the bottle in a red velvet pouch as a keepsake and symbol of luck.

La Folie Douce at Thredbo

Après ski might be a time to unwind after a day on the slopes but with La Folie Douce cabaret show hosted by Mumm champagne, the party carried on. The internationally renowned group hosts free high-energy, high-altitude parties around the world playing at events such as the Cannes Festival, the Grand Palais in Paris, in Peking, Istanbul, London, Odessa – at festivals and mountain-themed lifestyle shows.

A Mumm champagne pop up bar kept partygoers hydrated including skiers and snowboarders still in snow gear dancing and celebrating as the sun went down.

Thredbo Top2Bottom Race

The 25th annual Thredbos Top2Bottom Race began at dawn with many eager participants competing in the 3.2km super trail downhill race. The competitors were welcomed at the Mumm champagne pop up bar near the finish line.

Competitors included Torah Bright, and former Olympian Scotty Kneller, winner of Thredbo’s Top2Bottom Open Men’s Ski category who took out the race for the fifth time. All the winners took centre stage on the snow podium with Mumm champagne to celebrate their victory.
