Sydney food lovers have another reason to get excited about the upcoming Good Food Month in October. Omnivore, the French food festival making its way around the world with some of the world’s top young chefs will be part of Sydney’s Good Food Month, with a series of culinary events running from 3-6 October.
Omnivore Sydney Launch at The Woods
Omnivore, dubbed as “100% jeune cuisine”, is the brainchild of Luc Dubanchet. First launched in 2012, the Omnivore World Tour has travelled to New York, Paris, Geneva, Istanbul, Shanghai, Brussells, Rio de Janeiro, San Francisco, Moscow, Montreal and Shanghai – and drawn chefs from France, Asia, the United States, Spain and the United Kingdom.

At the official launch of Omnivore Sydney yesterday at The Woods restaurant, MC Simon Thomsen and Joanna Savill of Good Food Month introduced the four day event which will have 20 chefs from France, America and Australia, across 20 masterclasses, a series of Amazing Dinners in top Sydney restaurants, surprise Pop-Up venues and a Grand Finale party. These chefs, along with local talent will give a unique insight in to individual techniques and kitchen passion.

Carla Jones – 4Fourteen
Hamish Ingham – The Woods and Bar H
Matt Lindsay – post Billy Kwong, setting up own restaurant, Ester
Ross Lusted – The Bridge Room,
James Parry – Daniel Puskas – Six Penny
Pasi Petanen – post Marque, setting up own restaurant, Cafe Paci in Surry Hills
Luke Powell – Tetsuya’s
Darren Robertson – Three Blue Ducks
Omnivore Sydney Program
The Four Seasons Hotel Sydney will be accommodating the international chefs, and its restaurant The Woods will be a participant in the Amazing Dinners on two nights.
