Bondi Hardware Turns Three

Bondi Hardware Bar and Restaurant in Bondi Beach held their highly anticipated annual end of summer party to celebrate turning three years old with an evening of drinks, canapés and cool DJ summer beats.

The venue is owned and managed by Hamish Watts and Ben Caroll, the duo behind the popular SoCal in Neutral Bay, The Botanist in Kiribilli and the recently opened The Butler in Potts Point.

A local favourite, the bar-restaurant takes its name from the hardware store that occupied the premises for thirty years by transforming the space with a décor of exposed bricks, original timbers and high ornate ceilings.

A refreshing cocktail greeted guests upon arrival – Watermelontini, a mixture of Ketel One Vodka, elderflower liquor, watermelon, apple and lime. Wines were supplied by Howard Park, and beers by Endeavour and ciders by Batlow.

Delicious foods on offer were from the new menu created by Chef Elliot Anders which included polenta and quinoa bites, tuna poke spoons, crispy pork belly and pumpkin boats, the famous Hardware classic beef sliders, pearl barley arancini balls with lemon aioli and margherita pizza slices.

‘Point Break’ was the dress code of the night with many guests embracing the theme wearing surf gear and a Photobooth Me provided hilarious mementos of the evening.

The Bondi Birthday bash was held on Tuesday February 24, 2015.
